How do I clear my browser's cache?

In most cases it's only necessary to clear website data for rememberthemilk.com, which you can do with these steps for a few browsers:

  • Chrome - Look for the "Delete cookies from a site" section
  • Mozilla Firefox - Look for the "Delete site storage for individual websites" section
  • Safari - Look for "See which websites store cookies or data"

This isn't possible for Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer, so see the full steps below.

If you do need to clear your entire cache you can do so with the following steps.

To clear your cache in Chrome:

  1. Log out of your Remember The Milk account and close all other open browser windows.
  2. Click on the menu button at the top right (or the Chrome menu in OS X), then 'Tools', and select 'Clear Browsing Data...'.
  3. Select 'the beginning of time' to delete everything.
  4. Select the 'Cookies and other site and plugin data' and 'Cached images and files' checkboxes.
  5. Click 'Clear Browsing Data'.

To clear your cache in Microsoft Edge:

  1. Log out of your Remember The Milk account and close all other open browser windows.
  2. Click the menu button at the top right, and select 'Settings'.
  3. Click the 'Privacy and services' section on the left.
  4. Click 'Choose what to clear' under 'Clear browsing data'.
  5. Select the 'Cookies and saved website data' and 'Cached data and files' checkboxes.
  6. Click 'Clear'.

To clear your cache in Internet Explorer 11:

  1. Log out of your Remember The Milk account and close all other open browser windows.
  2. hClick the Settings gear (Tools button) at the top right, select the 'Safety' menu, and select 'Delete Browsing History...'.
  3. Select the 'Temporary Internet Files' and 'Cookies' checkboxes.
  4. Click 'Delete'.

To clear your cache in Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Log out of your Remember The Milk account and close all other open browser windows.
  2. Click on the Firefox button at the top left of your browser, open the 'History' menu, and select 'Clear Recent History...'. If you don't have a Firefox button, click the 'Tools' menu, and select 'Clear Recent History...'.
  3. Select 'Everything' to delete everything.
  4. If necessary, click the 'Details' arrow to reveal the list of items that can be removed.
  5. Select the 'Cookies' and 'Cache' checkboxes.
  6. Click 'Clear Now'.

To clear your cache in Safari:

  1. Log out of your Remember The Milk account and close all other open browser windows.
  2. Open the 'Safari' menu on your browser's toolbar.
  3. Select 'Clear History...'.
  4. Select 'all history'.
  5. Click 'Clear History'.

It may be necessary to clear your cache more than once.
