Ignoring dates that are part of the task title.

inbetweener says:
This is probably obvious but can't find it in help or in the the forums.

I just want to add tasks via quick add with titles that include a date, e.g.

"Make appointment for May the 13th"

where the appointment is for May the 13th but I don't want the task to be scheduled for May the 13th.

At present I'm doing this by just putting quotation marks around it but there must be a more elegant way to just get RTM to ignore the date being entered...

As mentioned in our FAQ,you can use quotation marks as you describe (or around just a portion, e.g. Make appointment for "May the 13th") or prepend the task name with a ~, e.g. ~Make appointment for May the 13th to disable Smart Add parsing for that entire task name.

Hope this helps!
