Ignoring dates that are part of the task title.

At present I'm doing this by just putting quotation marks around it but there must be a more elegant way to just get RTM to ignore the date being entered...

As mentioned in our FAQ,you can use quotation marks as you describe (or around just a portion, e.g. Make appointment for "May the 13th") or prepend the task name with a ~, e.g. ~Make appointment for May the 13th to disable Smart Add parsing for that entire task name.
