Easy Grocery Shopping List

I know we've discussed lists to death, but I can't find a post with a method like this, so I thought I'd share.
I don't want to fuss with it much, so I have a seperate list called Groceries in which anything I might want to buy is listed and then given a number for an area of the store (or no number if it's not at the Grocery Store) in the order that I walk though them, then my list is automatically set up for me when I enter the store:
1 Produce
2 Bakery
3 Meat & Dairy
4 the refrigerated section on the back wall
5 central shelves
6 HBA & Household
In addition, I'll add the store name in parentheses if it's a hard to find item.
Examples:
1 Strawberries
5 H&P Sauce
Dog Cookies (Petsmart)
When I need to buy something, I check all of the items I want, make a duplicate of the task and tag them "buy" all at once. I then have a Buy smartlist for the "buy" items which I open at the store. When I complete an item, it's twin is still on my Groceries list for next time.
The only issue I have run into so far is that I can't duplicate a task on my Android phone, so in that case I just type it out again. My lengthy shopping list building takes place on a PC.
If I need something like shoes, I put it on my main task list, not Groceries, and tag it "buy" so it still shows up on my Buy smart list. That way I can't forget it.
Hope this helps anyone looking for a quick & easy method!

I just wanted to add my two cents' worth to the great grocery shopping list debate.
My method is very similar to this one, and I have made use of David Bessler's excellent tips too. (Thanks David!) Along with the iStrap I bought to hang my iPod Touch around my neck, this makes shopping easier than ever.
I also use two lists to create my shopping list. The first list is called "Groceries" and it contains over 180 items (tasks - with no due date) that I buy over and over again. I also have a smart list called "Shop List" that uses the search tag "shop". (These two lists are archived when I am not using them so that my lists and tags cloud don't get clogged up between shopping trips).
Within the "Groceries" list, I have about 15 different categories for all the different items and each category also has a matching "+tag". (The only reason I put the plus sign in front is so that I don't forget one when I am creating my shopping list). For example, 'bread' appears on my list as "+bakery BAKERY Bread" and 'bacon' appears as "+meat MEAT Bacon". This may seem redundant to have a tag as well as a category, but it is actually very helpful, as I will explain.
When I am putting together my shopping list, I have my netbook set up on the kitchen counter. One by one, I click each +tag (for example, +kitchen). There are about 15 items in this category. I check the boxes next to the items I need to buy, then select "duplicate task". With all of those duplicated tasks still selected, I change the tag to "shop". These (duplicated) items disappear from my "Groceries" list and now appear in the "Shop List" list; the original items are untouched.
Once I am in the store, I pull up the Shop List. Because I have all the BAKERY (category) items grouped alphabetically, I can easily see what I need from that aisle without having to scroll up and down the entire list. Same with PRODUCE, DAIRY, etc. When you put something in your cart, touch the 'Edit' button, check all of the items you've just bought, touch 'Complete' and those items disappear from the list.
When you get back home, select the "shop" tag from the cloud. Select all items in the list and delete everything. The smart list is then ready to go the next time.
