Attach pictures & photo's to tasks

There have been any number of requests for attachments in the past few years here, and the devs seem uninterested in this (I assume for the space issues.)
The standard workaround is to host the file elsewhere (Google Docs, Imageshack, etc.) and then place the URL to the file in a task's URL field. That works pretty well.
