I find it counter-intuitive and annoying when I use priority sort for a given list (which I usually do), then find my subtasks for a task in that list do not appear in the order I want them to be unless I change the sort for the list. I'd much prefer having subtasks default drag and drop, which means by default they appear one after the other as I enter them. My hunch is that many other users would prefer this approach as well.
