Settings for overdue tasks in today/week

E.g. four check boxes in for today/week:
*Show all overdue tasks
If "Show all" is unchecked theses three are available:

*Show overdue tasks from this week
Maybe even add an "Overdue" below "This Week". I know about Smart Lists, but adding these settings would still be good.

I agree 1000% and have been suggesting this for years. Not clear to me why they haven't implemented this as I can't believe you and I are the only frustrated ones on this issue.

I believe the answer is in Smart Lists. If the default lists don't wok for you, you can create Smart Lists to give you exactly what you want that will work with your specific workflow. I don't use the default lists at all as they are not what I need. I use my own lists and Smart Lists and it works great for me.
