This is a distinguishing feature in Todoist. I can see the advantage for "project" oriented management, like GTD.

But also Wunderlist has now a folder, which can be the root element for other lists.
A staple of lists (like in Evernote the staple of notes) could be also an idea.
But it's IMO a very import feature.
