Deferred Tasks List

I think having a way to discard tasks without completing them, but also without deleting them, would be useful. I have asked for this myself.
Here's what I do in the meantime:
I have a tag for discarded tasks. I tag the task with that tag, add a note to explain why I chose not to do the task, and then complete the task.
I then have a Smart List named "Discarded" with this criteria: "tag:discarded AND status:completed"
So, whenever I want to look back at the tasks I've discarded, I go to that Smart List and have a look.
Maybe this will help others.
