Thunderbird sync

Hello,
I use thunderbird 3.1.7 with lighning and would be really happy to edit, delete or make new tasks in lighning / thunderbird to get them to rtm and to my phone. And not only the other way around.
An addon for thunderbird (which works) would be really nice!!
Best regards, maphmue

Plus 1.
Part of the reason I switched from Google Tasks (Which doesn't sync with TBird) to RTM was because I thought I could sync RTM with BOTH TBird and Google Calendar.

Count me in on this idea, I've been trying to figure out an easy way to do this. It would be a great help to have the ability to edit and create in thunderbird.

Recently, I can't find any addon to sync RTM with Tbird. I hope it would be resumed.

I'm using Remember The Milk Provider for Thunderbird (http://www.dailygyan.com/2008/05/remember-milk-provider-extension-for.html). It is not perfect, but at least lets me see and edit my RTM tasks, but not the notes... :(
Bad news are that since some days ago it's not anymore available in addons.mozilla.org. Author deleted it, maybe?

Count me in too! I would love to have an add-on for RTM in Thunderbird/lightning, since tasks in Lightning cannot be synced with the google-calander. And, in addition, I like RTM above lightning taskmanager, because RTM has more possibilities.
I don't know what happened to the plug-in noted above (dailygan.com/etc.) It seems that plug-in was made, but hasn't been updated lately. Pity!

Hi! I just recently upgraded my cell from an Omnia running wm 6.1 to the Droid 2. Mozilla has been my browser/email client for years and for syncing I use(d) a little plugin called BirdieSync. I was pleased to discover that Birdie had been updated to sync with Android -- unfortunately it doesn't sync tasks. I've been taking WAY too much time trying to come up with a workable solution for task syncing, but I *think* it's paid off. So bear with me while I explain...
The basic problem stated in this topic as well as the one referenced above is that while it's possible to read RTM tasks in Lightning, it's not possible to sync new tasks in Thunderbird with RTM. Enter... Rainlendar. This nifty little app sits up in a corner of my desktop (or not if I choose to hide the windows). Once installed go to options and click on Calendars. Click on Add New and select Remember the Milk. Follow the instructions and be sure to tick the box to keep an offline copy.
In Thunderbird, add a new calendar, choose network calendar and for the url put file:///c:/Documents and Settings/[User Name]/.rainlendar2/backups/[file name].ics Your RTM tasks will load. Now when you add a new task in Lightning, it will be visible in both Rainlendar and RTM -- At least it did for me!
Rainlendar requires a license to set up and sync with remote calendars otherwise it puts a big [UNREGISTERED] in front of the tasks. The license is 9.95 Euro or about $14.00 US. Just thought I'd share. :) And now this great-granny has to go put her feet up to relieve her cankles. Enjoy!
