RTM is loading really slow this morning. Checked http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com and it's also showing RTM as being down.

+1 -- Not only the site itself, but also any google gadgets I have, and the gmail sidebar firefox extension. All of them are excruciatingly slow.

It's not just you, it's been the same for me all day today.
jeffdrichards says:
Agreed, Everything is working slooowllyy for me as well. I suddenly appreciate it usual zippy-ness.

We posted about this on our status blog; the slowness should be resolving.
ralphs says:
The site has been up for me but I have also experienced uncharacteristic delays throughout the day. Simple queries like adding due date, adding tags, and renaming tasks are taking up to 30 seconds. Oddly, changing the importance of a task still appears to be instant.

Site is still slow in Northeast U.S. as of 5:22pm EST.
jeffdrichards says:
Ah ha, back to its usual speed now...

Sorry for the inconvenience, all. :(
I've posted this update on our status blog post:
"The site slowness earlier today was caused by unusually high traffic that unfortunately our systems had trouble handling. Bob T. Monkey has spent the day making significant changes to our systems to help things run more smoothly should we experience freakish traffic events in the future. We’ll be continuing to monitor how everything runs as we hit our peak part of the day (when users in the US log in :) in a few hours, and will provide further updates should any hiccups occur. Thanks for your patience, everyone!"
We'll be continuing to update the status blog if there are more updates to this issue.
