How to filter out weekly tasks (in a smart list)?

action.manager says:
In my weekly review I want to look ahead (using a smart list) and see which *non-routine* tasks I *have* to perform in the next week. This means filtering out all tasks which are repeating, with a repeat interval of a week or less.

How can I achieve this?

(I dot not see a search operator for repeat intervals; only for due dates, which seems insufficient because I want monthly tasks to be included in this smart list - thus not filter those)

andrewski (Remember The Milk) says:
There's no way to search what kind of repeat interval you have set; you can only use isRepeating:true to search for repeating tasks (or false for non-repeating tasks).

What you may want to do is to set a tag (e.g. "routine") on any tasks you want to exclude from your Smart List and then just add NOT tag:routine to your Smart List's criteria.

Hope this helps!

I think the only way to do this is to tag your weekly tasks with some common tag (e.g., weekly) and then filter them out as part of the smartlist's criteria.

Thanks for the tips!

I like to keep my tags clean, but the tag "routine" might be one I would be willing to to add.

I still prefer a "repeatInterval:" search operator though... (that should not be too hard to implement?)

@Andrewski - you and I sure have a habit of posting near-simultaneous thoughts.

Followed up the advice.

Unfortunately I cannot add the tag to completed tasks, which makes it harder to find these :(

(not sure that I ever need to search those though)
