stop using RTM with gmail....how?

It depends on your browser: in Firefox, go to Tools | Add-ons and disable it in the Extensions tab. In Chrome, go to Tools | Extensions (or Window | Extensions) and disable it there.

2. In the Add-ons window, click on the Extensions jigsaw icon
3. Scroll down until you find Remember The Milk for Gmail and click on the Disable button.
4. Restart Firefox.
