I'd love to be able to edit right in the task line

When you have a task, to edit it you have to click on it to select it, then hit "r", then you can rename it. Also after it's selected, you can go to the details tab on the right, and change tags, etc.
Here's what I'd like - I'd like to be able to double-click on the task, and from there, be able to edit it the same way I do when I am first adding a task. For instance, I'd like to be able to add tags to an existing task without having to move the mouse to the task tab on the right - I'd like to be able to just click in the task, then type, for instance, #errands, and have the errand tag added to it.
Plus, when you navigate around your list of tasks, it's quite confusing - the tabs to the right change all the time, the task cloud disappears while I'm looking through the tasks (looks like it only appears when you've just clicked on a list or smart list tab.
I just looked in the keyboard shortcuts, and now realize I can hit "s" when a task is highlighted to edit it the tag. However, I'd like to be able to just double-click and edit. Much simpler and easier to remember.

+1, I always instinctually think I can do this, but then get frustrated when I have to use the box on the right to edit.
