Speed things up by deleting completed tasks?

For a while now RTM has seemed slower and slower when I load and switch between smart lists, and just now I tried deleting the bulk of my 2500 completed tasks that I never look at. I'm wondering if someone in-the-know could tell me if this is something that will improve RTM performance?

If you're noticing this, would it be possible to submit a Tasks & Lists issue report via our support system?
Your report should provide all the info that we need to investigate further, but we'll be in touch via email if we require any more details.
Also, for what it's worth, you can archive completed tasks in a list, which should achieve the same end if that's the issue.
