Bug? Can't add task without existing tasks

I was just on the phone with my mother who just started using RTM. She asked me how to add a new task. When I logged on using her username I saw that I was unable to add new tasks. After I used the Netvibes widget to add a task I suddenly was able to add tasks through the regular web interface as well. What's up with this?

That doesn't sound right. It could be a cache or Gears problem.
