How do I attach a note to every instance of a repeating task.

dylan.eiler says:
I keep track of my car maintenance in RTM. For example, I have a repeating task for an oil change that comes up "after 3 months" - which works out to about 3,000 miles for me. I keep track of the last oil change in the notes section. So after I do an oil change, I log the date and mileage in the notes box.

Well, I just realized that completing one occurrence of a repeating task deletes the note. So I'm wondering how I can attach a persisting note to every occurrence of a repeating task?

Thanks for your help.

The weird thing is that a few of my repeating tasks have retained the attached note in every instance of the task. But others haven't. So I must be doing something that I am not even aware of.

Thanks for your help. I'd really like to figure this out.

When you use the "after" repeat type, the note is only saved on each instance; the "every" repeat type will preserve the notes across task instances.

Hope this helps!

I think notes stick to a repeat that is every x periods, but are omitted from those that follow the after y period pattern.

Bummer...... Why the difference in behavior. For me, they are both instances where I would like a note to persist.

Thanks for your help.
