RTM Freezes Chrome

I can't access RTM with Google Chrome. Every time I go to the site it freezes. Gears pops up asking if I want to allow access, and no matter which option I pick (Allow or Deny) RTM still freezes.
I'm using Chrome beta. I've tried clearing the cache, restarting the browser and comp and resetting Gears from the options.
Anyone else having this issue? Is there a fix or workaround?

but aside from that, i just check again, and it appears that it's been fixed. the permanent syncing problem (which i was experiencing prior to the freezes) is gone as well.
i remember getting the freeze from trying to delete the gears entry (a solution for the permanent syncing problem i read on these forums)
