Look at the right hand border of the gmail inbox frame. It is a grey border surrounding the list of emails in the inbox. On the right there may be a little arrow you need to click to expand the RTM for Gmail for Chrome window.

I am having the same problem! I am using Chrome version 4.0249.43. Is this version supported by the Gmail add-on?

For some reason today the add-on started working!!!

This is the thing. I do see it is flaky. Sometime is loads and fires successfully, other time nothing happen on the right panel.

It's important to check the status page for the add-on to see if your Gmail version may be unsupported and, if so, to find out if we know about it.

I bet that's the reason. Anyway to downgade the gmail version ? Today the "Create Tast" from the Action drop down list disappear too !!

FYI i had this problem and disabled the right side chat in GOogle Labs and it started working, even though it still reports that

The CHROME and Firefox extensions were working great until this evening: suddenly, gmail has stopped working altogether when I have the extension enabled. However, as soon as I disable it, gmail works fine. The version I have is 14155931. Any suggestions?

Ah.. this is crazy. Man, the Chrome extension was really great apart from this intermittent problem !! I am actually about to upgrade to Pro until all this flakiness comes into play !!!
