Google Talk (Pidgin) not sending instant messenger notifications

I've deleted and re-added the Google Talk IM contact for RTM, but I'm not getting task notifications. I'd appreciate any help that you can offer.

If you're still having this problem, would it be possible to delete the reminder account (via the trash icon on the right in RTM's Settings) and then readd it? This should restart the reminder service.

Also, have you tried any other IM, SMS, or email reminders to confirm whether they're working at all for you?

Having the same problem. Have tried cycling the linkages at RTM and Google. Delete one, re-add. Delete the other, re-add. Delete both, re-add. No luck.
