repeating day won't repeat
mdfloyd1 says:
I'm entering "Every month on the 28th" (without the quotes) in the repeat box, and it shows that little circle and says it repeats, but the task won't repeat in the task list.
I've tried different dates; nothing works.

Two things to check that may hang this up:
1. Can you try the secure site? https://www.rememberthemilk.com/ Connection problems can often cause this kind of issue.
2. Gears may cause problems like you're seeing too. Can you check to see if you have it installed? The easiest way to do so is to look on the header of the website for either Offline (no Gears) or a green arrow (Gears). You can also look under the Tools menu to see if Gears Settings is listed there or on Google's site for more instructions specific to your OS/browser.
Let me know what you find. :)

Have you tried setting the due date for the 28th of the current month? It should also repeat after you complete it the first time.
andrewski (Remember The Milk) says:
steveshay,
That wouldn't matter. If you create a task with no due date, this repeat property would still set, and completing the first instance would set the due date for the next one (to the next occasion of the 28th).

steveshay says:
Maybe it shouldn't matter but I experience this issue when first starting a repeating task. If I don't enter a due date it will display in my task list with the repeating arrows icon but no due date until I complete the first one, then the date will show in the task list.
andrewski (Remember The Milk) says:
Correct: no due date, but the repeat property will still work.
For mdfloyd1, unless I misunderstand, the problem is that the repeat property isn't working to create new instances of the task at all.

Yeah, I've tried all your suggestions with no luck.
For example, X is supposed to repeat the last Wednesday of every month (I copied the wording from the Help section).
So the first instance shows up for November 20, which is a Friday. Nothing shows up for November, but it does show up for December. Nothing for January, Feb, etc.
It's frustrating, and I'm really getting frustrated about not being able to print what I need to print. I know "you" are working on it, but seems like you've been working on it a long time. I don't use RTM on an iPhone or Blackberry; I'm the kind of person who likes real paper.

This works for me: I set a task due next Wednesday (November 25) and set it to repeat "Every month on the last Wednesday". When I complete November 25's, it is set to be due December 30. Then January 27, etc.
If that isn't happening for you, it's likely a browser problem. Which browser are you using?
