Task Complete not "sticking" (in feeds only, not in RTM)
tsukata says:
I've got several recurring and non-recurring tasks that I've marked complete over the past week, and they keep showing up as incomplete. Initially, I marked them complete via my Android RTM app. When they kept showing up, I tried marking them complete via the iGoogle gadget. When that didn't work, I went into RTM directly and marked them complete.
But, they're still showing up in the feeds (and the Android app), though not in RTM on the web. Rainlendar, iGoogle gadget, and the Android app all keep showing the tasks as incomplete.

Tsukata,
Have you tried synching/refreshing your Android RTM information in the app on the phone? (I have an iPodTouch not the Android, but when I make changes on the iTouch I click the sync/refresh button on the app to help things sync.
Hope this helps

Hm, I'm not sure exactly what's at work here. It sounds like it could be a connection problem.
Android/Rainlendar/iGoogle aren't working, and marking them complete in RTM doesn't affect those either.
Let's start with a simple example: when you mark a task complete in Android, does it show up as completed in iGoogle?
Also, Gears may cause loss of data or problems like you're seeing. Can you check to see if you have it installed? The easiest way to do so is to look on the header of the website for either Offline (no Gears) or a green arrow (Gears). You can also look under the Tools menu to see if Gears Settings is listed there or on Google's site for more instructions specific to your OS/browser.

For what it's worth, some of the tasks were back to being incomplete in RTM today, so even marking them directly in RTM didn't work. Android app finally shows them as complete, though...so I have no idea what's going on.
I don't have Gears installed.

tsukata says:
One thing: it takes a day for them to show up incomplete again, so maybe there's some 3am script that is resetting things?
tsukata says:
They're back again as of this morning. I marked them as complete in RTM yesterday, and they're back.
Maybe I need a task to remind me to re-complete my tasks each day? ;-)

Argh, sorry to bombard with replies. I just keep remembering things that might be helpful.
Android app: at this point, the Android app is showing the errant tasks as complete and is not having the same problem that RTM is.
iGoogle gadget: also correct, just like Android app.
RTM: keeps losing task completion for these 4 errant tasks.
The funny part is that last week, I had the same problem but in reverse: Android/iGoogle were not showing the tasks as complete, but RTM was.

Are these repeating tasks? If you look at your recently completed tasks (you could try completed:yesterday), do you see the tasks you were completing?
Would it be possible to disable Rainlendar syncing to see if the problem might be happening there?

andrewski - I will start experimenting with "completed" searches and report back. I disabled rainlendar back on the 19th just in case it was the problem, but the problem persisted without rainlendar being on.
For what it's worth, the issue seems to be resolving itself slowly. It had been about 7-8 tasks that were in this state when I first posted this issue. Now, it's down to 1 task. The number of "stuck" tasks has decreased gradually, and so far, no new ones have gotten stuck.
