keyboard not focus on new task after creating a new task using keyboard shortcut (t)

After creating a new task using keyboard shortcut (t), the keyboard shortcut focus is still on previous task and not on the new task.

Is there a trick that i'm missing?

Basically, i want to be able to add new task and set the due date and everything using keyboard shortcut and not have to use mouse.
