Change requested: Notifications should NOT use the media volume!

trav says:
Hi there RTM team,

I just noticed that your Android implementation uses the media volume for notifications (I have a HTC Hero, don't know about other devices) instead of the notification/ringer volume. This is really bad because the cow bell will not be muted when in a silent mode.

Please consider to change this as soon as possible! (Not good in e.g. a meeting where you put your device in a silent mode and still the cow bell will ring)

Or is it just with the cow bell and the "moo" and not with the standard sound? (Haven't tried that yet.)

Greetings,
Trav

Thanks for reporting that; I've added it to our list to investigate.

If this is true, this needs to be fixed.

Just wanted to clear this one up; the Media Volume is used for the previews on the Settings screen, but the actual notifications will use whatever you have set in your OS settings.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for clarifying this.

But this is not as it was in v1.0 or is it? Because as far as I remember I missed an audible notification because my media volume was set to very low (while ringtone/notifications were set to a quite audible level).

Has the code changed since then?

Greetings,
Trav
