smart list converted to regular list

mehardin says:
I had a smart list called @home. When I logged in this morning I noticed that the tag for it was moved to first in line after my inbox. When I clicked on it it was empty. I should have had a LOT of stuff in it. Then I realized why. It was no longer a smart list. It was a regular list. How could this happen? No I have to delete the regular list, recreate my search criteria for the smart list, and save it as a smart list all over again, then HOPE it doesn't get converted again.

I haven't seen anyone else complain of this happening. I did edit the search criteria for the smart list before I went to bed last night. If there was bad syntax in the search criteria would that cause it to magically become a regular list?

No, it wouldn't switch automatically; you could type anything in the Smart List criteria and at worst it just wouldn't return any tasks.

Is it possible adding some tasks via Smart Add may have triggered the wrong property (i.e. putting a task in a new list rather than tagging it with your tag)? That shouldn't happen, of course, but I'm trying to think what happened.

Also, could you empty your browser's cache, disable Gears if you have it enabled, or try in another browser? Just to see if it's a problem that way?
