However, may I ask...what exactly are the PRO features that I might be using now???? I am not sure how to distinguish 'regular' vs pro, and may not be taking full advantage of my trial period to decide whether to upgrade or not. I am quite sure that I am not availing myself of these features and would be interested to try them.

Basically, a Pro account comes down to the feature of "synchronization"–with a BlackBerry, an iPhone, or a Windows Mobile device–as well as priority email support and a "warm fuzzy feeling". :)

Your trial only starts when you actually do avail yourself of the features, e.g. when you fire up MilkSync or RTM for the first time on your PDA. The website, other RTM services, etc. are all available, for free, anytime, and you are free to use them for as much, as often, and as long as you want before you would start any trial period. :)

My free trial has expired and on my iTouch, I have no access to my list.....it says 'A Pro account is required to continue using this application' and my only option is to 'Upgrade Now'.........so how do I access that? I was told that I could use my lists even when my free trial has expired, but I have no idea how to access my lists now.

To access your list on the iTouch you need to upgrade to a pro account. I think that the easiest way to do that is on the RTM website https://www.rememberthemilk.com/upgrade/ . If you use Safari on your iTouch you can access your list through the web interface.

Right, you still have access to your tasks (via the website or other services), but the iPod Touch synchronization is only via a Pro account.

Thanks so much for responding...what if I just want to keep a list on my iTouch and NOT online (on the website)? I wonder if I can keep my list on my iTouch and not sync / not use the website for lists.

Sorry to have so many questions...just trying to evaluate whether I want to upgrade or not-it sure is a signficant investment vs so many other apps which are either at no cost or have a 1-time purchase cost.

Don't worry about having questions. :)

There's no way to use the RTM app without a connection to the server. RTM basically operates as a hub for all of your tasks, wherever you are, and thus the RTM app synchronizes necessarily.

Yes, your tasks will be accessible from the iPod if you choose to upgrade. And they're still accessible on the website in the meantime, of course. :)
