Version 1.1.1 Now available - push notifications now support sound alert!

terence.busmire says:
Just checked the app store on my iPhone - and 1.1.1 showed up. Push notifications still work, but now a sound alert is included. The "Moo" is a little short, but the Cow Bell works well!

Yeah, I like the cow bell too. And badge updates seem to work. Only tested it once so far - marking a task complete on the web and my RTM badge decreased by 1 without opening the app. Sweet, thanks Bob.

There should be a monkey sound to choose for alerts too. :)

Thanks to RTM for the update and the sound. I agree with the sound comments but I look forward to hearing the cow bell as necessary.

I too found that the badge update worked when I completed a task on the web.

Way to go RTM!

This is the best update ever! Thank you RTM!

Love the cow bell alert! 'Moo' feels a bit scary :), esp if I am at work.

Maybe we can have a smoother 'Moo', like the actual cow sound. Just a thought.

A moo was what I was hoping for for a RTM notification sound, but the current one of a dude saying "Moo!" is a bit creepy and abbreviated. The app is otherwise fantastic, but I agree that an actual cow sound would fit the whole RTM theme better and would make it more likely for people to use it as their notification sound. Plus I think it sounds more fun!

I agree that the "moo" sound should come from a real cow. The current "moo" sounds like a weak human imitation. Shouldn't be too hard to drive out to a dairy farm and sample some cows mooing :^)

One thing some people have noticed is that they have had to power off their iPhones after upgrading.

If that doesn't help, check your iPhone's Settings | Notifications to make sure RTM is enabled. Then check the website's Settings (on the Reminders tab) to make sure iPhone is turned on. (If it already is, you can also try turning it off and back on.)

Hope this helps!

PS: odelaney, we asked Bob to record a sound, but he got a bit self-conscious. He's not big on public speaking.... :)

Just a BIG THANK YOU to the RTM team - badge updates and alerts are a giant leap forward! Before that the badge number was almost useless and I was still forgetting to do some task because nobody bugged me constantly to do them. This is history now - I'm close to perfection in effectivity! :-)
I agree there are some minor issues now, e.g.
1) Better, longer and authentic ;-) "Moo" sound would be cool.
2) Usability issues: There should be "Complete" and "Postpone" button right at the task detail page, going to Edit and scroll down is simply too far.

Do you need to go pro for these things to work?

I haven't had any luck subscribing to my Outlook account.

Like many others, big thanks for all the great work and attention you're giving the app recently. As I'm sure your data must tell you, the iPhone app is the sole reason many of us went pro. Thanks again for all the updates.

And ya, that "Moo!" will just give me bad dreams at night. Need a nice 2 to 3 second genuine bovine Moo. Cow bell for now I guess.

lubosek, on #2, you can swipe a task to complete it (like you can to delete a message in Mail); the Edit button is designed for editing multiple tasks at once.

christopherritter, you need a Pro account for the RTM iPhone app, but you have a 15-day trial period during which you can use all the features. I'm not sure what you mean about subscribing your Outlook account though? This forum thread is discussing push notifications from RTM to your iPhone directly. What problem are you having?

@christopherritter: yes.

You need a pro account for the iPhone application. http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/iphone/
