Problem with Reminders

If I add a task to my blackberry, and that task has a reminder, after i sync with remember the milk my reminder is removed from my blackberry. why is this? Note: this reminder is different than the daily reminder sent out by remember the milk. this is a specific date and time seperate from the due date.
