iPhone push method not appearing in reminder settings
nickandjess says:
I tried out the iPhone app for a few days on an old account and was so happy I went ahead and signed up for a new name and upgraded it to a pro account.
Now when I try and set push notifications through the 'reminder' tab of the settings, my iphone is nowhere to be found on the list. Any ideas or workarounds?

All sorted with a quick iPhone restore.

I can't see an iPhone push option in the reminder tab either!
Is it possible to get this working without an iPhone restore?

Just to inform all that a restore also worked for me.

restore didn't work for me - any other way to get this done?

I'm not sure what an iPhone restore would do in this case (please describe how this helped if you can!), but your iPhone ID won't show up in your Reminders settings until you start the new RTM on your iPhone and allow push notifications to be sent. (If you previously disallowed them, you may need to go into your Settings, under Notifications, to enable them.)
Hope this helps!

No idea why a restore worked, but I can confirm I had Notifications set to on, and RTM alerts set to on. My iPhone was just NOT appearing in the RTM settings webpage.
I had removed/reinstalled the app several times, restarted the iPhone, turned on/off the notifications and RTM alerts, fiddled with the notifications settings on the webpage, but nothing would make the iPhone appear on the RTM settings webpage.
Immediately after I restored, the iPhone was showing up where it should have been.

My own experience required me to explicitly log out of RTM on the web, and then log back in. Made sure the iPhone settings for RTM notifications were correct before doing so. After logging back in, my iPhone ID showed up in the RTM notifications page.
That was on a 2G phone. Upgraded to a 3GS- part of that is a iPhone restore. I now have two iPhone IDs showing up in notifications. Initially, both were enabled, but I've disabled the older 2G ID.

Interesting; thanks for letting me know. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I tried the RTM website logout/logon several times to try and get the iPhone to show up... It didn't help in my case.

lee,
You mentioned on July 8 that the restore had worked for you - is the iPhone not appearing any more?

Sorry for the confusion Leah, I was just adding that prior to the restore I had tried the website logout/login several times, and it didn't help my case.
However the restore did fix everything (and it's still working.)
