First use of new app and problems on iPhone 3Gs and OS 3.- Please Help

Hello,

After getting tired of everyone showing me their cool new app for their iPhone and seeing all the cloud services I use developing iPhone apps quicker than any other mobile platform I went out and bought a 3G and loaded the new updated RTM app from iTunes. It would fine the first time it launched and pushed my first reminder. Then the second time I tried to launch it the progress bar went half way and then the program crashed. Same thing after trying it a few times so I then deleted the app and tried to get it directly on the phone. I had the same experience as before and that is the app installed perfectly, ran once fine and then stalls every time it loads. Can anyone help me out with this problem?

Cliff, I think you should raise a formal problem ticket. Click on Support higher on this screen and follow through to add issue.

What if you (temporarily) turned off the reminders feature for a few syncs to make sure that your information is syncing between the website and the iphone and then when that is cleared up, try using the notifications.

Thanks for your suggestions. I tried turning off the notifications and still does the same thing. I put in a support ticket yesterday and was wondering if anyone has any experience at how quickly the support people get back to you? I have been really happy with the product but it sucks having a new toy (iPhone) and the app doesn't work. Like getting an new toy at Christmas and it needs battery but non in the box and all the stores are closed.

I realize how frustrating it can be to wait for support. They will email you when your turn comes in the list and pro members (like us) get answers before regular members. When I was having some issues I heard from tech support in a couple of days.

You might want to try logging completely out of the website (maybe even delete the RTM cookies) and completely powering off and restarting your iPhone. When I was having reminder issues (reminders are integrally connected with the notifications), doing these steps helped. If these don't work post again and I'll tell you the other step that tech support gave me when I had reminder/sync issues (they may not be your issues).
