MilkSync 'Cannot establish an Internet Connection' on Samsung Omnia

I replaced my IPAQ phone recently with a Samsung Omnia (Win Mob 6.1 pro) on Vodafone, downloaded MilkSync and synced ok at first (after one or two failures). Since a successful sync on 24th April MilkSync says 'Cannot establish an Internet Connection' although I can use Opera to browse the RTM web site. WiFi OTA or USB link makes no difference. I've re-checked username and password are OK on the phone. Log seems to say it's a timeout. It's probably operator error as I has worked sometimes but I don't know what I can tweak. Any ideas please?
