Can't Go Online

For the last two days I can't get RTM to leave the offline mode and go online. This is causing a lot of problems with updating. How can I fix ASAP? Should I delete GoogleGears? How do I do that?

I got one similar problem today around 4pm GMT+1, about 5 minutes without be able to go online.

I've had this on both a Mac and PC with Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. I deleted Google Gears on the PC and I have not seen the problem for a few hours.
