My RTM gadget for gmail disappeared today. I went to gmail settings gadgets and it said i have no gadgets installed.
I typed in
http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/modules/gmail/rtm.xml
and it gave me an error "invalid gadget specification"

I wonder if this is related to the rumored buyout of RTM by google.

Mine disappeared as well... anyone found anything out? I notice that the content is still available at http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/modules/gmail but this URL cannot be added.
berdem says:
Same with me. Just stopped working today.

Same here as well. I've been noticing odd problems with it the past few weeks too (timeouts, weird headers for each section).
I sure hope they fix this because it's the only interface I use RTM in.

i followed chrisblord's suggestion... i was connecting via HTTPS to gmail... adding https to the rtm link worked!
mhsharp says:
That worked for me as well, thanks chrisblord!
woodyl says:
Works like a charm! This should be added to the instructions and the FAQ for RTM Gmail.
wererogue says:
Agreed, the FAQ needs changing/augmenting, or the old link needs fixing. Glad to have the gadget back, though!

Switching to the secure method did the trick:

Hey all,
If anyone continues to experience problems with the gadget, would it be possible to submit a Gmail issue report via our support system?
Please select the issue that you're experiencing from the list on the left, and follow the steps shown. If your issue isn't listed, just click on "I'd like to report a new issue" on the left.
Your report should provide all the info that we need to investigate further, but we'll be in touch via email if we require any more details.
Thanks! :)
