Notifications for shared lists?

I have shared a list with some of my colleagues. We work on this list collaboratively, each one adding tasks for everyone to see. We use tags to assign these tasks to each other (e.g. one tag for "John" and one tag for "Jamie").
Unfortunately, only the one person that has created the list (in this case, myself) seems to be getting the corresponding notifications. The others don't get any of the notifications that have something to do with the shared list.
Is this intended? If yes, is there maybe a workaround for it? If no, can this be fixed? ;)

yes I am! I'm talking about e-mail reminders, to be exact. My colleagues have set up some reminders for themselves, but they only get reminders for tasks that are on their "own" lists. Reminders from the "shared" list don't seem to be sent out.
