Recurring tasks don't show as completed

I'm on a pro account, and everything syncs up great between my BB and RTM.
For one reason or another, recurring tasks remain in my Outlook as not completed though. I seem to have to manually delete the old task after I complete it in RTM.
I know this has to do with the BB synchronization between device and BES server, but i've just never seen this kind of issue in the past.
any tips?
