I prefer the extension to the gadget. It's larger, but in my opinion is much more functional. Easier to add/delete/etc items and I think it's just much nicer visually.

You do not need both tho, they will both get the job done. it's just a matter of preference.

I'd actually like to see a way of having the gadget available but turned off when the extension is installed.

On my own computer, I use the FF extension, which is definitely preferable to the RTM gadget, but I also frequently visit other computers where I may not even be able to use FF at all, much less install the add-on. For these cases, the gadget would be great, but I don't want to have it on all the time, since I'll be using the extension most of the time.

Ideally, it would be great if the gadget detected the FF extension (or vice-versa) and suppressed its display when the FF extension is present.
