There is a Greasemonkey script (Keep Cloud Visible, works for Firefox) that does just that, works splendidly! Can be found here.

hi, I´ve added a plus-sign (+) at the beginning of all my tasks. So as you type "+" in the tasks field, all your tasks pop out and you can chose the appropriate task. hope that helps

I am afraid of the GreaseMonkey, I do not want him messing around with my browser compatibility or performance. I just imagine add-ons not working and web pages not opening by installing the scripts. But so many folks seem to be dancing with the monkey, he must be good!
