At long last this problem is out of the world!

I used a technique which helped me with another problem yesterday.

Using EasyFind I found all files which had to do with Gears, moved them to trash, then reinstalled. Simply uninstalling in Firefox didn't help, that had been tried earlier..

So now RTM works offline for me too :)
