Dollar sign ($) not available as tag

I can't seem to use the dollar sign as a tag, whether alone or in combination with any other characters (the tag is just ignored if entered).

I am wondering if this is a bug or the intended behavior...

We're always happy to look at supporting more though :) In any case, it shouldn't be rejecting the entire tag if it has an invalid character, so we'll check that out.
