Different reminders

fixup says:
How to set one reminder to be sent to my email 1 day before a due date and another reminder (for another task) to be 1 month?

fixup, the reminder settings apply to all tasks in your account -- it's not currently possible to set reminders per task, sorry.

Is this in your roadmap? :)

emily (Remember The Milk) says:
RTM doesn't have a roadmap as such, but I'm very much aware of the request :)

Per-list or, ideally, per-task reminder settings come up over and over. Perhaps now that the human part of the RTM dev team is now 50% more numerous, Bob can work full time on some of these greatest hit requests?

That would be Bob's hope :)

That would also be my hope. I will actually buy bob a box of donuts if he does this. Seriously :-).

Hehe... Bob is rather partial to donuts.

I'd really like this feature, I'd settle for a different reminder setting per list.

I solve this problem with Google Calendar (unfortunately RTM forces me to do that).
1.
I've turned off every RTM reminder (big relief)
2.
I have a tag @reminder (it's easier to manage tasks with reminders by tagging them)
3.
It's saved as a "Reminders" smart list (search: tag:@reminder)
4.
Then I've added it to Google Calendar (iCalendar(Events)
5. In Google Calendar you can:
- turn off all reminders by default and add them manually for each task (that's awesome feature)
- or set up default remainders and modify each task's remainder if you need

So far works perfect :)

If you upgrade to PRO, is it possible to then set reminders per task?

I mean, it just makes sense to have that "override" feature per task, like the Calendars (Google) do....

Is this being worked on?

Mamona, I followed you as far as making the smart list based on the tag. But how do I then add it to Google Calendar?
Posted 16 years ago
bwiderski says:
oops - never mind! Google was temporarily recalcitrant...

mamona says:
yeah, sometimes I had to add RTM's events twice or more :)
