Gmail Plug In: can't install From RTM

Hey,
What is going on? Every time I go to install the Gmail plug in I get a page that says "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.12) Gecko/20080201 Firefox/2.0.0.12"
I really want to use this plug in but can't figure out how to install it.

This seems to be some kind of issue with Firefox and installing extensions, but unfortunately I haven't seen an answer for this. I know that someone else who encountered this problem posted on the Mozilla forums, but nobody there knew what could cause Firefox to do this either :(
If you can, it might be worth trying to set up a new profile in Firefox and/or reinstalling the browser, to see if this helps.

Major Bummer...
Re-installing might do the trick but I have several major add-ons that I would have to re-install...
Is there a way to prevent this... like making an archived extension installer or something... that keeps your add-ons in one place to put on antoher install?
