repeat: next tasks appears before current task is completed

I have a task scheduled for today, repeating "every 1 month". The task for today is not completed, yet the task due March 1st is already visible. I've seen this happen with other tasks as well.
Is this normal behavior?

Try repeating "after 1 month" instead. That way the task will not repeat until you complete it.
