adding task to smart list
michael.severance says:
I have a smart list with the following criteria:
tag:Crit and not (dueAfter:tomorrow and tag:z)
Crit means critical.
In that smart list, when I add a task, it doesn't automatically add the tag "Crit", which means I can't then immediately edit the task, adding due date, z tag, etc. I have to go find it.
I also have a smart list that is just
tag:Crit
When I add a task, it automatically adds the Crit tag and allows me to edit it. It's like the second half of the query above prevents it from understanding the Crit tag. Thoughts?

I do see why now, it's because the query makes it ambiguous what tags I want on the task.
So--any work around?
