set the priority with keyboard in french
didier69 says:
Hi,
I use the french version of rtm and I try to work only with
keyboard. But I can't set the priority of a task with my
french ascii keyboard. I try to press "&" or "shift+&" to
have the "1" keyboard. But it's not working. All the other
shortcuts are working but not this ones with the numbers.
I'm under firefox 2.0.0.11 under windows XP.
Do you see how I can deal with this issue ?
Regards.

@rajjan: by pressing shift+& which give me a 1. But when I do the same on a selected task, the priority is not changed. That's why I ask the question ;).

Hmm, it seems like French keyboards are sending the keypress differently -- if you have a minute, would you mind visiting this URL and pressing to create a "1" with your keyboard?
Once you've pressed this, it will display some text in the box -- please copy this (by selecting it with your mouse and then right-clicking and selecting 'Copy' -- doing it with the keyboard won't work). Then, paste the result on this forum, and we can check it out :)
(We would test this ourselves but unfortunately don't have a French keyboard to try this.)
Thanks!

Thanks emily, here is the result:
keydown keyCode=16 which=16 charCode=0 keyIdentifier=undefined
keydown keyCode=49 (1) which=49 (1) charCode=0 keyIdentifier=undefined
keypress keyCode=0 which=49 (1) charCode=49 (1) keyIdentifier=undefined
keyup keyCode=49 (1) which=49 (1) charCode=0 keyIdentifier=undefined
keyup keyCode=16 which=16 charCode=0 keyIdentifier=undefined
I need to press shift+"&" key to have a "1".

didier69, thank you very much for trying this! We're going to look into this further.

didier69, would it be possible to try this keyboard shortcut again? I think it should be fixed, but if there are any problems with this (or other shortcuts), please let us know. Thanks!
