Hey, here's a silly question: if I close my account, can I sign up again using the same name? I've got a lot of tasks I don't use anymore, and rather than go through each one, I think it'd be quicker to just nuke everything and start fresh. That, and I'd love to have the key back.
If I close my account using the link in Settings, can I sign up again using this account name?

Why can't you just so a select all and delete?

I still use some of the tasks, I'm just lazy and would prefer not to go through and figure out which ones I still need. =o)

No one knows?

I also don't understand your logic in your statement "I still use some of the tasks, I'm just lazy and would prefer not to go through and figure out which ones I still need." But in your original question you ARE talking about nuking all of them, so why can't you just go to your default list, select all, and delete? That should have the same exact effect of discontinuing your current account and then starting a new one (under any name). Then end result will be that you will have no active tasks. Is that what you want or no? If you want to retain some of them, you are going to HAVE to somehow figure out which ones you want and set them aside. If you want to "start fresh" as you original message states, then deleteing all your current tasks will do that.

Still wouldn't have the key back, which is something I'd like to have on my tasks page instead of searching for it in the Help section.
Not really looking for an argument here, just wondering about the answer to my question, which even I called a silly one.

OK, so the problem is that you inadvertedly chose to delete the key and you want it back?
You can find it here: http://www.rememberthemilk.com/help/answers/basics/key.rtm
Not really worth starting all over for, IMHO.
You could always print it and put it next to your screen ;-)

andrewcilento, to answer your question, the username won't become automatically available again for sign up straight away (but if you contact us we can free it up again). Hope this helps.
