Odd behavior on iPhone
jstern says:
I just started using both RTM and iPhone version today, and everything looks great and is very intuitive to use, but I'm seeing some odd behavior with the iPhone version. The behavior isn't very consistent (or rather it's consistently inconsistent), so I'm just giving a sample set of observations here.
When I check my tasks on www.rememberthemilk.com, I see the following:
1. Site shows current date as "Thursday, November 22, 2007 | 10:52AM"
2. Looking at "Personal" tab, first 3 tasks are due "Today", "Friday", and "Friday", respectively.
However, when I check on i.rememberthemilk.com, on the first page after logging in, I see this:
Today, 22 Nov
Today (3)
Tomorrow [blank]
If I tap on "Today", I see three tasks, due "Nov 21", "Today", and "Today", respectively. (This is incorrect as compared to the www task list.)
Going back to the main page, I tap "Tomorrow", and I see 2 tasks with the due date "Friday". (This is actually correct.)
Going back to the menu again, I see
Today (3)
Tomorrow [blank]
I tap Today again and see the same 3 tasks with incorrect due dates (all one day early).
Going back to the menu, now I see
Today (1)
Tomorrow (2)
This is actually correct.
I tap today and see one task (also correct). Then I go back to the menu (still the correct (1), (2) version) and tap on Tomorrow ... now I see "No tasks."
Back to menu again, and I see the incorrect (3), [blank] version. Tap Today and see 3 tasks with incorrect due dates. Back to menu, still incorrect, tap "Tomorrow", see 2 tasks with correct due dates. Back to menu, still incorrect, tap "Today" and see 1 task with correct due date. And so on, with behavior oscillating between correct and incorrect results.
Btw, I'm using iPhone OS 1.1.2 (3B48b).
Please let me know if there's any more information I can give you to help debug this issue.
Thanks!

Out of curiosity, I tried looking at i.rememberthemilk.com using Firefox (2.0.0.9/Intel Mac). I was redirected to m.rememberthemilk.com, but I observed the same general behavior described above, with task counts and the due dates tasks were associated with changing from page view to page view. So it looks like this problem is not specifically with the iPhone version...

jstern, would it be possible to double check if you have your timezone set in RTM (click on 'Settings' at the top right in the application)?
We usually try to set your timezone automatically, but sometimes we can't detect it -- you may need to set it manually in this case. If the timezone isn't set, this could be causing issues with the mobile versions.
Thanks!
