Is there any way to set a task as recurring so that I get a daily e-mail/daily posting on my task list but then, the next day, have the past-due task delete automatically?

This just keeps my task lists organized and saves me from having to mark several completed daily (or deleting several daily)

For example, I have the following task set to recur daily:
"practice flashcards with my son"

If I don't get to it, it isn't as though I'm going to do it twice the next day. I would like the daily reminder but if today passes without my doing it the task may just as well be off my list until tomorrow.
