Receiving messages to AIM offline?

I've recently upgraded to the newer version of AIM, which allows receiving messages from buddies when I'm offline. Some reminders I have set up don't occur when I've got a computer up and running. I thought it might, as in Outlook, that the message pops up when I log in. But this doesn't seem to be the case.
Wishful thinking on my part? Something that may be coming soon? Or am I SOL? Heh..... or is this a feature that would drive some people nuts?

shurley, good question :) We'll have to check into this on our side and see if we can support offline AIM (we do support a similar thing for Skype, which allows you to receive messages that are sent while you're offline).

Still would love this functionality.... but in the meantime, I'm not getting AIM reminders even when I am online. rtmremind is on my buddy list, but unfortunately has been offline a lot, sporadically, over the last week or so (as I write this, I can see its offline again).

Unfortunately the AIM network hasn't been very reliable recently -- we're doing our best to get the reminders out onto the AIM network, and we've done some work today to work around the network problems. Hopefully everything should be getting back to normal -- I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
