Combine several jobs to a list

ostermann says:
I'm working in a nursery and we are producing tree-seedlings.
Every morning I fill up an excel sheet with the customer, amount, type of plants which I need to harvest at the field.

for example there are the following orders for today (simplified):
Frank ordered 50 pines
Steve ordered 25 pines
Eve ordered 125 birchs

These orders I've added in RTM. I already used the "Estimate"-hours for counting the amount. I also use Tags for birch, pine,...
So if i select the tag "pine" the estimate is 75 hours.

My harvest-sheet now shows the total amount of each type of plants which I print out and give my employees to harvest:
pines 75x
birchs 125

Has anyone an idea how to make/print such a list only with RTM?
I'll deduplicate the excel list, because all the informations are already in RTM.
But I don't know how to make a List which combines the total amount of estimates for those tags.

Hi ostermann,
Thanks for getting in touch.

I think the only way to do something like this currently is to use MilkScript to generate some new tasks, using the estimates in the names, and putting them into one view like a list or a new tag. Then you could print that view.

That may be too complicated an answer, and I'm sorry if so! 😅

Another quick option would be to go through the lists and either use something like Smart Add for Desktop or email to quickly jot down the tasks/number of trees. Then you can have them in Remember The Milk and print them too.

Hope this helps one way or another! 💙
