Setting up a task to recur semi-monthly

I am not using the Pro version. I'd like to set up each of two tasks to recur monthly. The tasks themselves are identical, one for mid-month, the other for the end of the month. Is this repeat setting not available to me, or did I just miss seeing it?

You can use a repeat like "every month on the 1st and 15th day" (for example), and it will repeat on schedule.
Another idea is separate tasks like steve23606 mentions, and each of those could repeat "every month".
